Hafidh, Qari, and Imam at Masjid al-Falah, East London. Adil completed his Hifdh with Shaikh Yusuf Kothi and holds multiple Ijazahs in Hafs an Aasim from Cairo, Egypt. He has recited at events across Canada, South Africa, Zambia, Belgium, and Scotland.
Biography
A Life Devoted to the Quran
From memorising the Quran with his grandfather to leading prayers and reciting on stages around the world.
Hifdh & Early Training
Adil completed his Hifdh of the Quran under the guidance of his grandfather, the esteemed Shaikh Yusuf Kothi. This deeply personal foundation set the course for his life, rooting his love for the Quran in family tradition and scholarly rigour from the very beginning.
Tajweed Studies & Ijazah
He went on to study Tajweed locally in Forest Gate, London, before travelling abroad to Cairo, Egypt, where he earned multiple Ijazahs in Hafs an Aasim. He further pursued Islamic sciences including Arabic, Fiqh, Hadith, Tafseer, and Aqeedah with his grandfather and through studies abroad in Cairo, Egypt and Istanbul, Turkey.
International Recitation
Adil has been invited to recite at events across the world, travelling to Canada, South Africa, Zambia, Belgium, and Scotland. His recitation is known for its beauty, precision, and the profound spiritual connection it inspires in listeners from all backgrounds.
Imam & Educator
He currently serves as one of the Imams at Masjid al-Falah in East London, where he leads prayers and serves the local community. Alongside his duties as Imam, Adil is dedicated to teaching Quran, making the art of beautiful recitation accessible to students of every level through the Yusuf Institute.
